Privacy policy

1. Local-only processing
The waveform, level meter, and spectrum are computed from audio numbers inside your browser (AnalyserNode) and discarded frame by frame. This site has no upload endpoint and cannot store your audio even if it wanted to.
2. Session-only recordings
Clips you record are Blob object URLs held in tab memory. They vanish when you reload or close the tab, unless you press Download to save a copy yourself.
3. Microphone permission
No website can access your microphone without your explicit click on Allow. Device names only become visible after permission — a browser privacy rule. Revoke access anytime via the mic icon in the address bar or your OS privacy settings. Microphone access requires a secure (HTTPS) context.
4. Data we don't collect
No accounts, no audio analytics, no voice storage. Device labels come from your browser after permission and are never transmitted by this tool. The optional "Copy debug info" button only copies text to your clipboard when you press it.
5. Cookies & local storage
We use no tracking or advertising cookies. The only thing stored on your device is a lightweight theme choice (tm-theme in local storage) so dark/light mode persists — no personal data, no cross-site tracking.
6. Third-party services
The page is served over HTTPS and loads fonts from Google Fonts. Like any hosting/font provider, they may see standard technical data (e.g. IP address, user agent) needed to deliver the files. We run no analytics, ads, or social trackers of our own.
7. Contact messages
If you email us, we receive whatever you send (your address and message) and use it only to reply. Please don't include voice recordings with personal data unless we ask for them.
8. Children's privacy
The tool is usable by all ages and collects nothing from anyone — there is no age-gate because there is no data collection to gate.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
